Note | Republican Candidate for County Treasurer Primaries: June 4, 1934 My Uncle John never married. He lived in Chicago where he was the County Clerk or Treasurer. He was my favorite uncle. He regularly sent me strips from the newspaper of the adventures of Jane Arden, which were thrilling for a young girl in a small town (less than 10,000 people) to see and read. I saved all of the strips. They're in the attic at our home in Oskaloosa with all my favorite things... - Esther Strombotne |
