Note	According to NYGBR, v. 27, p. 260, summarizing re Cornelis VanVorst: Born in Holland, he was sent to Italy to study woodcarving and established himself in Holland as an expert in that field. He probably came to America in 1625 with the Hulst Expedition. He had two children by a previous wife, Jan and Hendrick, who apparently died without issue. Cornelis Van Voorst was dead before 31 March 1639 at which time his wife is referred to as "Vrouwtje Ides, widow of the late Cornelis van Vorst" in a lease from Director Kieftto Vrouwtje of the company's bouwery at Ahasimus for 20 years [Source: Calendar of Dutch Historical Manuscripts, Register of Provincial Secretary Vol. 11639 p. 6 by O'Callahan] Vrouwtie's personal property was inventoried on 15 April 1640 -- "Inventory of the personal property of Vroutje Ides, in the house of Jacob Stoffelsen at Ahasimus in Pavonia" [Source: Calendar of Dutch Historical Manuscripts, Register of Provincial Secretary Vol. 1 1640 p. 15 by O'Callahan] She is referred to as the wife of Jacob Stoffelszen on 20 Sept.1640 "Samuel Chandler vs Jacob Stoffelsen, husband of Vroutje Ides, widow of Cornelis Van Vorst, deceased" [Source: Calendar of Dutch Historical Manuscripts, Council Minutes Vol. 1V 1640 p 73 by O'Callahan]
